omnomguts[There's a white castle at the edge of the horizon, its towers spiraling into the sky. The scent of smoke hangs in the air, on the breeze, but for the most part this area remains untouched by the ravages of Riful's monsters. She'd left word that they were to be left alone, every sleepy little town in these parts, the frightened humans in their homes, the castle and its toy soldiers, gates locked and barred, inhabitants waiting with bated breath for their prince to return and lead them to victory. Her armies would stand down and wait. Their prince is returning at last.
This is her gift to him-- that is something that friends do, isn't it? Give gifts to one another? And Riful knows full well there is nothing quite like the sense of coming home. Riful still remembers the day she'd returned to the Organization-- and crushed it under her power, all those fleeing men and women, the warriors with their ineffectual swords, the blood-soaked earth, eating her fill for the first time in months. It's a fond memory, her first great act as the ruler of the West. She can appreciate what it means, to purge oneself of the past, stripping away the old to reveal the new.
She turns to him with a pleased smile, and their figures cast crisp shadows in the light of the dawning sun-- a slim young man and a little girl. It wouldn't be nearly as much fun if they gave away the surprise. That would come later-- oh yes.]
What do you think? Shall we go and give them a proper greeting?

Or... [She glances down the hills, where a small cottage sits, a trail of white smoke curling out of its chimney. With all these little villages dotting the countryside, who would miss one or two?]
